What to see?
Livani Evangelical Lutheran Church
Since there was no Lutheran church in Livani, the congregation held services in the fire station. The church project was developed by engineer Petersons from Krustpils and the first foundation stone was laid in the autumn of 1929. The construction works were completed in May 1932 and the total cost of building the church was 26,000 lats. There are still reports that during the Soviet era, it was planned to install a gym and a warehouse in the church, but it was not implemented. It should be mentioned that the church was built on the foundations of the former cork factory. The Minister of War, General Janis Balodis, etc. provided funds for the purchase of the church bell.
