What to see?

Canoe rental and boating events in Livani region are offered by the local initiative group "LivLaiv" in cooperation with "Handmade Latgola" and the youth association "Sava kabata".

"LivLaiv" offers:

• canoe rental (including double-sided oars, life jackets and waterproof dry bags), when you can come to the canoe storage point with your own transport at Vecticībnieku street 15 ("HANDMADE Latgola") and rent the desired number of boats, as well as receive a safety briefing, directions and suggestions for a nice canoe trip. The canoe rental fee is determined by agreement (on arrival you must bring an identity document to conclude the contract). 6 double and 2 triple boats available.
• trailer use, boat transportation services, as well as participant transportation support (to / from start / finish point) - the fee for using the boat trailer is determined by agreement, payment for transport services - depends on the distance and number of people.
• organized boating trips for groups of up to 16 people (starting with 2-3 hour trips along Dubna or Daugava, and ending with multi-day routes in any region of Latvia (participation fee depending on the specifics of the route and the number of participants).

The most popular one-day routes in Livani region:

• Dubna river "Rožupe - Līvāni" (approx. 12 km, ~ 4 hours at a leisurely pace)
• Dubna river "Staru footbridge - Līvāni" (approx. 18 km, ~ 6 hours at a leisurely pace)
• Daugava "Wellness complex AVOTIŅŠ - Līvāni" (approx. 9 km, 3 hours at a leisurely pace
• Daugava "Ex Dunava Transfer - Livani Transfer" (approx. 16 km, ~ 4-5 hours at a leisurely pace if there is no headwind)
• Daugava "Līvāni - Rest area DAUGMALES" (approx. 13 km, ~ 3 hours at a leisurely pace if there is no headwind)
• Daugava "Līvāni - Jēkabpils" (approx. 26 km, ~ 7 - 8 hours at a leisurely pace, if there is no headwind, the route also includes rapids)
