What to see?

The Daugava’s rushing flow, which has shaped Latvia’s landscape for centuries, is an ideal destination for an unforgettable adventure on the water.

The recreation Site “Vējiņi” offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of this mighty river by taking a raft trip or relaxing in a glamping tent amidst nature.

From May to September, visitors can explore Ploņu Island on a boat trip accompanied by a captain. Stretching approximately 1.8 km in length and 0.5 km in width, the island is a unique natural area surrounded by the waters of the Daugava, offering a wonderful opportunity to discover the river’s landscape and enjoy the tranquillity of nature.

Visitor Information:
The recreation site is located next to the Daugava River and includes an unfenced pond. Parents are kindly asked to supervise their children closely while on the premises.
For added safety, life jackets are available for children who may need additional support around the water.
The road to the recreation site is unpaved. However, the site is accessible to visitors with reduced mobility, who can also enjoy relaxing raft trips at Vējiņi.
